Ed

Ed has been an avid gun enthusiast since the early 2000’s, however, never received any 'training'! Then, in 2012 Ed started his training journey, primarily through Front Sight Firearms Training Institute. There he had taken many courses in pistol, basic through advanced (and earning distinguished graduate) as well as several rifle courses. 

Ed’s background is primarily in medical, starting as an EMT in 1998, then becoming a firefighter, paramedic, as well as RN working in the ER, ICU, & Flight and now as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Ed has also been in adult education for over 20 years and has taken that experience and applied it to firearms education to create a safe and fun learning environment! It also highlights how YOU can become a responsibly armed and trainined citizen!

Ed is also Certified Pistol Instructor with the National Rifle Association (NRA).

Carlos

 Carlos is a veteran, martial artist, and firearms instructor.  He began his journey in 1981 in the mountains of Puerto Rico. After joining the U.S. Army in 1994, he began his formal training in firearms and tactics. He attained Top Shooter awards from the U.S. Army, competing in the 1996 “Caribbean Cup". He later served as a Small Arms instructor for his unit. After leaving the U.S. Army, he again earned Top Shooter awards and served as instructor for Orange County Corrections in Florida and the Bureau of Prisons. 

Currently he serves as a Firearms Instructor for the U.S. Border Patrol and also as an Academy Firearms Instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Artesia, NM. Carlos is also a Certified Pistol Instructor with the National Rifle Association (NRA) and a Certified Instructor with the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA). 

Carlos is also an avid competitor with the Glock Sport Shooting Foundation (GSSF) and has attained “Master-Level" IDPA qualifications. More recently, F.I. Roman became a PREVAIL CCW Program Instructor and is the first person in the nation to achieve the top distinction of Black Level since the course inception 3 years ago.

His philosophy has always been aimed towards reality-based training:

Everything he teaches has a solid root in his own experience; Constantly In Search Of Truth In Combat (CISOTIC).
